A FARRIER'S GUIDE TO PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT, THIRD DRAFT, AUGUST 2002 from the Farriers Registration Council has had a very cool response from farriers. The FRC wrote to registered farriers asking for comments but the document was only available by request. UKHSU sent a copy to all our members. We have not had any favourable comments about the draft code which is very long, confusing, repetitive, contradictory and irrelevant. As one farrier said "The Draft Codes of Conduct are patronising and dictatorial. If properly written they could be greatly reduced in length and cover areas specific only to farriers."
