)1 received from John McLoughlin 13th January 2004 - Made the shoe
from 7/8 x 3/8 concave bar. 17 1/2 inches of iron. You could call it semi heart bar shoe.
Horse had early stages of navicular. He is very sound with the bar shoes on. Very easy to make.

in Verona Italy 2003 - (farrier) David Lynch Ireland. 7 teams took part including England

- same horse same farrier. This is the style they shoe all the horses over there.

three-quarter heart bar shoe I made and fitted to a horse last week for a medial sheered heel on the right fore.

the same horse viewed from the front after, with the medial wall filled out with Equithane,
to avoid the horse treading the shoe off.
The Equithane does not touch or stick to the shoe, therefore allowing expansion.

9) Martin Humphrey 29th February 2004 - shoe made from Equithane Adhere
with a steel reinforcing rod, about 6 weeks old. I find Adhere sticks better that equithane and cracks less, but it needs to be warm or it won't be squeezed out from the cartridge. This horse is retired, I don't think that this kind of "shoe" would be durable enough for a horse in work.

16) From Paul Johnston 23/7/4. The clydesdale mare that got this shoe won at the Cumberland show last Saturday, her yearling won its class and her foal was placed second.The mare was shod as my previous post on couping, the yearling had more of a tapered inside branch on the hinds and the foal was shod behind with a donkey heel/trailer. The yearling was reserve show champion and had its hind feet inspected by judges and stewards and the comment was ' about right'
