UK farriers hear from the UKHSU

The UKHSU this month sent out its first news letter to every farrier in the UK. Quite a historic event, as farriers received a thank you message from Peter Baker, their elected FRC representative, and a report on his impressions on the FRC so far. We also alerted the trade to developments going on which could lead to the end of the Farriers Registration Act and to farriers being regulated alongside vets and vet nurses. The letter has caused quite a stir, and "caused widespread concern aongst registered farriers" according to Miles Williamson-Noble, a high compliment, so it seems to have been a great success in raising awareness of a vital issue.
