Proposals to change the Veterinary Surgeons Act
have been announced by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeeons. The idea is for vets and para professionals such as equine dentists and farriers to be regulated by the same body. This could result in a whole new structure for Farriery and the end of the Farriers Registration Act 1975.
A big opportunity for farriery to improve the current system but a big threat if it goes wrong.
